Trust operation

The Waiau Trust was set up with a $5m capital fund and is a charitable trust.

The fund is invested in a diversified portfolio designed to provide cash flow and growth of the fund. Annual expenditure is geared around the income from the investments. This approach means the Trust will be self reliant well into the future, providing ongoing funds for new and existing projects.

The Waiau Trust operates on a project-by-project basis.
